No mate you turn it clock wise to shut it down

  2. Jaseperry says:

Sorry mate but your vid on removing a single radiator is showing the full picture. There is so much more to it .
10 – 15 vessels of water? depends on rad size. K1 K2 p+ what is it ? your not gona get loads of water out until you undo the air cock and displace the water with incoming air, its like holding your finger over end of the straw.

  3. Jaseperry says:

Also once the radiator is off what are you gonna do about the TRV (Thermostatic Radiator Valve) . you can never be certain that it will stay shut down . If the temprature drops in the room for any reason the pin inside the valve will open up pooring your whole system on your carpet , sounds extreme but it does happen. Not that time consuming 1400 x 800 k2 (Big Rad) 10 mins tops from full to empty.

  4. popoutandplay says:

er yeah bit confusing there mate, you are turning it clockwise and saying turn it anticlockwise to shut it off. Like Jaseperry says you turn it off turning it clockwise

  6. maccamcfc1 says:

this guy is a dick, you have gotta hold against the valve body with a pair off grips and undo the nut with a spanner, coz u mite crack the live side off the valve and like otha ppl say you gota open the vent, and if you have still the plastic cap that comes with the valve take the head off the trv use it to shut it off.

  7. dixiew1 says:

  8. CraicCocaine says:

What do you use the straw for? sucking the water out? I have to take a radiator off to tile behind it, I tried it earlier but lots of water came out after I turned off the valve so I tightened it back up again because black water came out.

  9. honkeytonk1000 says:

  11. electronicsuk says:

An adjustable spanner? Call them what you like; slip-joint pliers, pump grips, pipe grips, water pump pliers, but it sure as hell isn’t an adjustable spanner.

  12. InternetPolice1000 says:

when undoing nuts you should use grips to hold pipe work then undo using an adjustable spanner or else you will fracture the seals on the pipework an have a leak dont listen to this cowboy get a competent tradesman in yeha.
